The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a
signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property. - USC

These sites may vary in quality and content. Some reviews will be added as time allows. These links are currently listed in no
particular order. This
is one of the main sites working on unraveling some of the questions
regarding the 2004 Presidential Election and has been heavily promoted by
many of the personalities on Air America. There
are some good ideas here, though they do get a bit hysterical at times. I am afraid its relevancy will fade as we
move away from the election, though that may be a shame. “Finding
Clarity in the 21st Century Mediaplex” From their mission statement: www.axisoflogic.com is comprised of an all-volunteer
group of writers and editors who are committed to publishing news and
commentary that is often not presented in the major news outlets. We research
news and opinion from around the world on a daily basis. We also announce
action alerts, conferences and seminars. The editorial choices we make have
no hidden agenda and are not attached to any particular ideology or political
organization. We also believe there is no substitute for real, progressive
action as all of us continue what has already become a perilous journey into
the interior of 21st Century. Dear world, Sorry. We tried our best. -Half of America From the website: On January 20th, 2005, we're calling for a
new kind of action. The Bush administration has been successful at keeping
protesters away from major events in the last few years by closing off areas
around events and using questionable legal strategies to outlaw public
dissent. We can use these obstacles to develop new tactics. On Inauguration
day, we don't need banners, we don't need signs, we don't need puppets, we
just need people. We're
calling on people to attend inauguration without protest signs, shirts
or stickers. Once through security and at the procession, at a given signal,
we'll all turn our backs on Bush's motorcade and continue through his speech
and swearing in. A simple, clear and coherent message. This
should be like the hajj; everyone who is able to should go. Very good idea. Organize, people, and do not let your voices be ignored. Howard Dean's website, a good resource for tracking down grassroots organizations and activities, as well as a number of other political resources. Federal Election Reform Network. I do not know anything about this, but it sounds good. Have to put this one on here. She'll always get the goods. I can just get them from her and recycle them here.
From the website: "We need to recognize as a party that we are at war for our survival, one they started. We must become not more liberal or conservative, right or left. We must become more partisan. We must become dedicated to rediscovering our core principles, and stopping the strip mining of democracy they are intent on foisting upon us. Blogpac is dedicated to turning our party into an institution that can return cannon fire, immediately and everywhere, using the internet, TV, online campaigns, and media pressure. We will fund not liberals or conservatives, but political street fighters. For starters, we ran online ads in 2004, and built EnjoyTheDraft.com, and IraqDraft.com. Now it's time to really get down to business."
Every time I start to get discouraged about the work I put into this site, I listen to Randi and I get fired up all over again. Love you, Randi!
atrios - Eschaton: Proud Member of the Reality-Based Community I've heard good things and the writer is on Minority Report as I add this, but I have not had a chance to review this blog yet.
It could be said that this site started the ball rolling, changing the face of politics in America.
Shameless self-promotion.
